last week.&nbsp; These meatballs were not difficult to make and they are SO GOOD!&nbsp; My intention was to serve them over rice, but they ended up getting eaten with toothpicks before I could make the rice.&nbsp; These would be great to make for an appetizer!&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what you&#8217;ll need:&nbsp; 1 lb ground beef, 1\/2 panko bread crumbs, 4 green onions, 1 egg, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 t sesame oil, red pepper, 1\/4 c cornstarch, vegetable oil for frying, 1\/2 c chicken broth, 1\/4 c soy sauce, 2 T apple cider vinegar, 2 T hoisin sauce, 1 T honey, 2 t sesame seeds.<\/p>\n<p>In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, onions, egg, garlic, ginger and sesame oil.&nbsp; I used about a heaping tablespoon of meat for each ball.&nbsp; Toss the meatballs in the cornstarch, fully coating each one.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1229\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mamapalma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_5106.jpg?resize=300%2C200&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Heat about 1\/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet.&nbsp; Add meatballs and cook until seared on all sides, about 3 minutes per side.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1223\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mamapalma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_5132.jpg?resize=300%2C200&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When meatballs are done, remove from skillet and drain on a paper towel.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1225\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mamapalma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_5135.jpg?resize=300%2C200&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Drain the fat from the skillet, then add the chicken broth, soy sauce, vinegar, honey, a pinch of red pepper flakes, and hoisin.&nbsp; If you&#8217;re not familiar with hoisin sauce, it can be found in the Asian section of your grocery store.&nbsp; It&#8217;s sweet and spicy dark red sauce made from soy beans, ginger, garlic and other spices.&nbsp; I whisked all of this together in a bowl, then poured it into the skillet, but you can throw it all right in the skillet if you want.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1228\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mamapalma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_5111.jpg?resize=200%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\"><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1227\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mamapalma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_5113.jpg?resize=200%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Add the meatballs back into the pan with the sauce and simmer until the meatballs are cooked through &#8211;
